Nightmare before Coraline 2

5 years later...

There was a knock at the Lovat's house door, the girl knocking waited patiently for an elderly woman who was the girls landlord answered the door. "Hello Coraline" greeted the old lady, "Hi Miss Lovat, Wybie home? He said he had something to show me" Coraline said as Miss Lovat lead her in. "Of course, he's in his room sleeping. Honestly that boy sure is lazy, 10:00 am and he's still in bed..." Coraline rocked back and forth on her feet as Miss Lovat went on about Wybie's lazyness, she was quite good at pointing out his flaws and having a go at him for it. When Miss Lovat finished talking about how kids weren't disciplined enough now days Coraline managed to get a word in. "So, can see Wybie now?" Coraline asked shyly, "Of course sweety, sorry to hold you up, his room is upstairs, to the left and at the far end... oh, and if he's still asleep then just give him a whack, he'll wake up then" Miss Lovat replayed before walking into the kitchen. "OK, will do" she shouted down as she made her way up the stairs, even though she had known Wybie for a few months, she had never actually been in his room. Coraline followed Miss Lovat's directions and found Wybie's room at the end, she knew it was his by the sign that said Wybie on it in a creepy font and all the skull stickers that were stuck to his door. Coraline opened the door to a dark room, the lights were off and the curtains were closed. She smiled as she heard the snores of a boy around her age from the back of the room, she sighed as she shook her head "Oh Wybie Wybie Wybie, what shall I do with you then?" she said mockingly. Coraline closed the door behind her as she walked in the room and started looking for the light switch, she found it eventually and switched the lights on which blinded her. Coraline rubbed her eyes to try and get used to the light, when she did her eyes went big as she looked at the room she was in. It was a biggish room that had a bed, wardrobe, desk and TV aria, but what shocked her was how it was all decorated, all of the walls were covered in pictures. They weren't posters or anything but pictures that Wybie had drawn himself, some pictures were poorly done and coloured out of the lines while others were really artistic and neet. Coraline walked a little further into the room while turning around to see all of the pictures, she saw there were a few on Wybie's desk and she went to take a look. She found an old picture that looked as if it were done by a small child, it was a drawing of two stick figures, one small, one big. The small one had a happy face and curly lines from its head to look as if this person had curls. The big stick figure had two dark circles as eyes and a stitching pattern for a mouth, it also had a big bow tie around its neck. Coraline looked at the picture for a bit until she turned her attention to a more recently done picture that was a lot better. It looked almost like a portrait of a skeleton wearing a black suit and a cat bow tie, he was in a cemetery and it looked like he was gloating or something. Coraline saw there were loads more pictures to look at but there wouldn't be any time there were that many, but she did notice that all pictures where of the same things, there were monster like creatures such as a werewolf, evil scientist, a ragdoll, hanging tree, the list goes on. Coraline walked over to the bed where the hunched back boy that had created the pictures was sleeping peacefully, "Wybie" she whispered while shacking him a bit, he only moaned slightly and turned over. So Coraline did just what Miss Lovat told her to do, she smacked him as hard as she could on his arm and watched as he shot right up "I didn't do it Gramma, I swear... oh wait its you" Wybie yelled out. Coraline laughed as she saw Wybie glaring at her "Very funny Caroline" Wybie said while crossing his arms, "Its CORaline not Caroline and you know it you nerd" she said while giving him a punch in the arm, Wybie rubbed his arm out of habit. Coraline smiled while sitting down on the bed next to Wybie as if nothing happened, "So, what's the big surprise you got planned for me today Wybourn, its Halloween today so it better be good" Coraline said, Wybie only gave her his classic grin "Oh trust me, this will be the best Halloween you've ever had Jonesy". Coraline looked at his suspiciously until she too had a grin on her face "Al right then, well come lets get going" she said while jumping off the bed and grabbing Wybie's hand and trying to pull him up only to find that he wouldn't budge. "Come on Why_were_you_born lets go" Coraline as she then tried to pull the covers off him but he had a firm grip on them, "Wybie what's wrong?" she asked confused by his behaviour. "Coraline I need to get dressed" Wybie said sternly and slightly nervously "Well yeah, id give you some privacy when you get out of bed" Coraline replayed to him. "U-umm... J-jonesy... have you not seen my pajamas are over there on the floor" Wybie said hinting as he nudged his head over to were the pajamas indeed where. Coraline blinked her eyes for a second before saying "OK im out" while running out the bedroom door.

"You could have said you were only in your underwear a little earlier you know"
"Yeah well, you seemed to enjoy it so much I didn't want to ruin it for you"
"You freak" Coraline yelled as she punched Wybie's arm once more, Wybie laughed while he rubbed his arm again. "Are we nearly there yeeeeet" Coraline wined, "Nearly there Jonesy, just a quarter of a mile is all" Wybie said as he walked on, Coraline groaned even loader but didn't protest. As they were walking Coraline couldn't help noticing the skull design on Wybie's helmet and she remembered the pictures in his room. "Say Why_Be_Born", Wybie turned to face her "Hmm", Coraline stopped walking as did Wybie "Them pictures in your room, did you draw them" she asked. Wybie nodded at her as she looked surprised at him "Woaw, there rely good Wybie" she said while giving him a pat on the back. A small blush form on his cheeks "Gee thanks, gramma doesn't seem to think so though" he said looking down, "Huh, how come?" Coraline asked as she and Wybie carried on walking, "She says that there to unreal and creepy" he replayed to her. Coraline looked at him before she smiled "Well I like the characters you made, I think there cool", Coraline walked ahead of Wybie as he stopped for a second and watched her walk "Y-yeah... I made them" he said while shifting his eye's.
A few minutes later they arrived at a circle of trees as they both stopped and stared "Where here" Wybie announced while moving his arms towards the trees. Coraline looked at him annoyed while putting her hands on her hips "Wybourn Lovat you dragged me out here to look at trees?" she asked looking mad. Wybie put his hands up in defence "W-wait you haven't seen it from inside the circle" Wybie grabbed her arm and led her into the middle of the trees. Coraline gasped whenshe saw it from the inside, there where seven holiday doors that were on the trees, she the remembered a picture that she saw on Wybie's wall, it had seven trees with holiday doors on, it was a rely good picture as well. Wybie felt glad that she seemed to enjoy it so far, he grabbed her arm faced her so she was looking at the door with the pumpkin on. "Oh my gosh... Wybie... when did you find this place?" she asked still surprised, "I found it when I was six, I went for a walk and got lost, but then I tripped over cat... hey here he comes now" Wybie said as he pointed to the black cat running up to him. Coraline laughed as the cat jumped on Wybie's shoulders, she reached out her hand to scratch behind the cats ear "Hey Wuss Puss" she said to him, the cat only stuck out his tong. "Hey cat, you didn't rely think we were going without you did you?" Wybie said as he picked the cat off his shoulders and held him out in front of him. "Go? Go where?" Coraline asked confused, "Through the pumpkin door of course" Wybie said as he held the cat in his arms and smiled at her, though his smile soon turned into a frown when Coraline started looking down and worried. "I-i don't know Wybie... I mean the last time I went through a small door..." she said nervously, "B-b-but Jonesy you have to come... there all expecting you... I-I spent ages trying to talk Jack into letting you come" Wybie said desperately. Coraline bit her lip "I-I don't know...", Wybie thought for a second "Coraline, ive been to this world every Halloween since I was six, please come with me, you'll love it I swear... and I promise there will be no buttoned eyed witch that will try to kill us there OK" Wybie held a hand out for her with a pleading look on his face that Coraline found hard to say no to. "Ohh fine, but if there is I get to brake your wrist and you can't tell on me, Deal?" Coraline said eyeing him up, "Deal" Wybie replayed as they shook hands. Wybie held on to her hand as he lead her over to the pumpkin door, he let go to open the door while the cat gave a soft meow, as the door opened Wybie took hold of Coraline's hand once more before a mist of fog came out of the door way, surrounded the two kids and cat and pulled them into the tree, they screamed as they fell down, down, down into the deep hole.
